Thanksgiving with the Hempkins'

Thursday was a great Thanksgiving.  Buddy and Serena came down midmorning to help cook.  It was a beautiful day outside so Harper got to play outside.  We roasted a turkey, made 2 kinds of potatoes just for Cody, had homemade rolls, and 2 kinds of pie.

Harper got a new Minnie Mouse purse and sunglasses, which she loves just because they are Minnie Mouse.

Buddy had already gone Black Friday shopping at Bass Pro and was kinda itching to go again.  So he grabbed a paper and we spent about an hour of Harper's naptime looking through the ads.  There wasn't really much this year that was phenomenal, but there were a few good deals.  I ended up caving into the pressure and went to Toys R Us at 9pm to get Harper her gift from Buddy and Serena.  When I got there, it was an absolute madhouse.  I grabbed what I needed and headed to the line, which said about 30 minutes.  Then, I called Kristen and she asked me to look at the bikes and by the time I got back to the line, it said 1 hour.  Turns out it was wrong and I was in line for an hour and 45 minutes.  Boo!

But Harper got her awesome outdoor play house and absolutely loves it!  We had Buddy and Serena come down a few weeks before Christmas so we could put it together and let her play with it before it gets cold.
